Privacy Policy

1. Purpose

This Privacy Policy explains how Tim Elleston handles personal information in connection with TEW and related Traffic Escort Wardens services.

2. Information we may handle

• Account and contact information: name, email address, account and access status, roles, access settings and relevant contact information.
• Authentication information: Google Sign-In and Google identity information used for authorised TEW access where applicable.
• Operational information: work orders, locations, routes, permits, loads, vehicles, registrations, pilots, drivers, licence-related information, operational notes and related workflow state where applicable.
• Security and support information: access and audit records, timestamps, device or browser information where available, operational logs, error/security events and support communications.
• Existing or historical subscription information: billing status, dates and Stripe customer or transaction references. We do not ordinarily store full payment-card details.

3. Government information, official sources and disclaimer

TEW is an independently developed field-service application. TEW does not represent, and is not an official application of, Main Roads Western Australia, the Western Australian Government, or any other government entity.

Some operational information relates to Western Australian heavy vehicle permits and Traffic Escort Services administered by Main Roads Western Australia. Applicable permits, official documentation and authoritative government or source-system records take precedence over TEW.

4. Local and offline storage

The TEW mobile application is local-first and offline capable. Operational information and queued user changes may be stored on an authorised user’s device so TEW can operate without continuous connectivity and synchronise when connectivity returns.

5. Systems and service providers

TEW uses a separately hosted backend API and hosted PostgreSQL database infrastructure, including Supabase/PostgreSQL where applicable, to provide authorised application services. Work-order, permit and reference documents may be retrieved from authorised Google-hosted document storage where applicable.

AppSheet remains part of legacy or operational components of the broader Warden system; the current TEW Android and iOS application is not an AppSheet application. Authorised operational workflows may interact with Main Roads, TESS and Microsoft source systems. The public website does not itself perform every such workflow.

Existing or historical subscription and billing records may be processed through Stripe. New subscriptions are not currently publicly offered through this website, and Stripe purchases do not unlock the TEW Android or iOS application. Shorebird, where used, is a mobile application code-update delivery service.

6. Security and logging

We use authentication, access controls, owner-specific filtering, access expiry, audit/security logging and operational monitoring designed to reduce unauthorised access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention, access and deletion

TEW does not currently provide an end-user self-service account or data deletion function. Access can be disabled when authorisation ends, but cancellation or end of access does not necessarily delete operational records.

Operational, audit and source records may need to be retained for operational, security, legal or authoritative-source requirements. Users may contact support regarding privacy, access or correction requests. Correction or deletion of authoritative source records may need to occur in the relevant source system.
